Greenest Little House in America
This home was featured in the magazine “Metropolitan Home” on April 29, 2012. In this renovation of a 1915 craftsman Bungalow, an Oakland family garnered the highest LEED for Homes (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) standards. From the article written by Peter Hellman, he states, “the house was outfitted with the latest energy-saving appliances and windows as well as with 16 solar panels to provide electricity and hot water. They also created a highly sophisticated conservation system that recycles wastewater from sinks and baths for landscaping.
