Historic Residence Revival – Alameda

Canyon Design Build was tasked with restoring this historic Alameda mansion for clients who envisioned a more open floor plan and an updated, stylized look and feel. The project focused on preserving the home’s architectural integrity while introducing modern livability and visual impact.

Our team reimagined the layout to create more usable space, enhancing flow and natural light throughout. Bold forms, distinctive colors, and experimental textures bring personality to every room while maintaining cohesion with the home’s historic framework.

In the chef’s kitchen, an industrial range and custom hood anchor the design, complemented by shaker cabinetry and sleek surfaces. The dining room features an experimental textured wall treatment that balances heritage and modern artistry, while the bathroom renovations deliver clean lines and timeless materials suited to the home’s era.
